Tips for Fitness Professionals Training those with Fibromyalgia
According to the National Institute on Health (NIH), fibromyalgia affects over 5 million U.S. adults, and an estimated 3-6% of the world population. While fibromyalgia is most prevalent in women (up to 90% of fibromyalgia cases), men, children and all ethnic groups can be affected. Fibromyalgia symptoms include aches and pain all over the body, extreme tiredness that does not improve and sleeping problems. Fitness professionals can effectively work with symptoms of fibromyalgia, providing individuals who suffer a better quality of life through movement.
This webinar presented by Carol Ann and Irene McCormick will share ways you can provide a positive exercise experience to facilitate an effective path to better health and wellness for those clients suffering from symptoms of fibromyalgia.
